The ultimate objective for any interview is to obtain an accurate account of events. Interviews with victims of human trafficking at a basic level are no different from other types of interviews. However, interviews with victims of trafficking have a number of challenges that you need to be aware of in order to maximize the chances of obtaining an accurate account that fully reflects what has happened. This is not a forensic interviewing training. Instead, techniques and factors for interviewing human trafficking victims will be discussed.
