This workshop is designed to help professionals understand the roles and responsibilities of multidisciplinary team members in responding to child sexual exploitation cases (CSEC). A team approach, that includes medical staff, victim advocates, law enforcement, CPS, juvenile court, and other local resources is needed when tackling the complex nature of sex trafficking and the impact it has on the victim and their family. Additionally, this workshop will examine the process of safety planning for the child/children involved to ensure their immediate safety. Legislative changes and case examples will be used to identify challenges and successful interventions.
